Lamina Veneer (Leaf Tooth)

In facial aesthetics, an average of 40% of your beauty comes from a beautiful smile, 20% from the nose, 15% from the eyes and surrounding tissues. As can be understood from these ratios, all of facial aesthetics consists of the mouth and surrounding tissues. So how can you have a beautiful smile in today’s dentistry?

With the technological developments known in terms of aesthetics in dentistry, it is now possible to achieve this permanently with a suitable patient and physician relationship. Today, with the increase in aesthetic expectations, the popularity of laminate veneers has increased in smile design procedures in dentistry. With laminated teeth, you can have a new smile and dynamism by applying to all teeth entering the smile line as well as to your single tooth that causes aesthetic concerns.

What is Laminated Veneer?

Laminated veneers are thin-layered porcelains that are applied to the front surface of the teeth with minimal or sometimes no abrasion. Thanks to these thin leaf porcelains, irregularities caused by color, shape and anomalies in the teeth are aesthetically corrected. The whiteness obtained with laminated veneers is more permanent; factors that cause discoloration in natural teeth such as smoking, tea and coffee have little coloring effect on laminate veneers. The thickness of these thin sheets of porcelain varies between 0.2 mm and 0.7 mm depending on the case.

They are the most subtle and aesthetic works compared to other coating methods used in dentistry. Gluing systems are chemically made with laser unlike other methods. This results in a more robust and durable result. With laminated veneer, we can give our patients a new smile design in a total of 2 sessions in 1 week and 10 days. In this process, full face and mouth photographs of our patients who apply to our clinic are first taken. Then, if necessary, minimal abrasion is performed on the front surfaces of the teeth to be laminated. Finally, we try to achieve a proper smile on the patient’s face by referring to the anatomical points of the facial photographs taken. Of course, we can also make changes in the teeth of our patients according to their wishes.

Then 2 at the end of a week. In the session, we show the teeth to our patient, get their approval and place their laminates. In this process, if our patients request changes, we make them by adjusting the teeth. After the placement of laminated veneers, I inform each of our patients about how oral care should be, because no matter what is done in dentistry, the life of the work depends on the post-procedure care of the patient. In short, we can say 50% hand sensitivity of the patient’s physician and 50% patient care.

Lamina veneers do not require any extra care. It is sufficient to brush twice a day (at least 2 minutes on the tooth surface) with a circular massage and floss before going to bed. Many people today also fear irreversible damage to their teeth from cutting and abrasion.

In such patients, Non-Prep laminate veneers are placed without any cutting or abrasion of the teeth. In order to make a Non-Prep laminate, tooth structure and arch formation must be taken into consideration.

In this way, you can have a beautiful smile comfortably without abrasion, incision or even anesthesia. A pleasant smile is always a powerful tool in all your relationships.

Smiling brings people together, increases friendliness and is a powerful tool to reduce tension.
